Learn From Yahoo!

In the past few months, I have been following very
closely about the takeover bids from Microsoft as
well as the billionarie Icahn who are trying really
hard to have YAHOO sold to Microsoft.

When I see this whole scenario itself, it makes me
realize that there is an invisible war in all sorts
of life. Bear with me on this, ok?

Think about this…

In your life, there are so many people that will say
BAD THINGS about you. There are so many people told
you that you can’t do something or be somebody that
you want to be or intend to be.

While, they use psychology to PUSH you downward
in order to make themselves grow ahead of you.

“What do we call this type of people?”

Negative people. For most of you, you will think that
it doesn’t cost you anything to be miserable. However,
I have bad news for you. It costs you your life.
It costs you the freedom and lifestyle you deserve
to have.

In business, it is the same thing!

Let me explain, ok?

Think about Yahoo! We ALL know that Yahoo! is the
hardwork of a guy named Jerry Yang. Yet, Microsoft
would like to use its POWER to buyout Yahoo. Steve
Ballmer, the CEO, has even threatened Yahoo! that
he will take it further to Yahoo! shareholders.

The Blame Game

After given so many speeches, presentations, and
strategy sessions for the last two weeks, it comes
to the realization that many people use others as
a way to escape from their responsibility.

I don’t know how it works, but I do know that this
makes me feel sad about the TRUTH. Think about it,
one of the subscribers told me that the GURU is the
problem. They are the ONE that ruins the whole market.

When I heard those words, I said… “WHAT?”

Seriously, are we the ones that are supposed to be
blamed from taking action to change your life?

Does that mean everyone should be LAZY and do NOTHING
in their life? (Or)

Don’t we need to take responsiblity for every step we
take in our own life?

You see, you ONLY have two choices:

(1) Feel Happy and Fulfilled.
(2) Feel Miserable the rest of your life.

There is NO middle ground. You can’t blame the
government, other people, as well as your competitors
for taking MASSIVE action in their businesses. WHY?

Very simple. They know the principle in business.

Lesson #5: Freebie Seekers vs. Potential Buyers

What are freebie seekers?
What are potential buyers?

Throughout my entire career, especially after running
giveaway campaigns for more than four years, many
marketers who follow in other’s footstep make an
assumption that there is NO MONEY on giveaways.

When I heard this WHOLE story itself, it makes me
wonder whether I was doing the right things or not
in the giveaway industry.

There are “TWO” types of people on the giveaway:

(1) Freebie Seekers
(2) Potential Buyers

Let me explain each one of them very carefully, ok?

(1) Freebie seekers.

    Very demanding.
    Very low buying rate.
Expect to be treated like a king.

Basically, I categorize this type of subscribers
as a D class. Why is that?

They don’t want to buy any of your products, yet
they flood your support with a whole bunch of
requests, such as: Where is my free product?,
Why should I keep entering my email addresse
    all the time?
