Introductions and other fun stuff
Hi there!
I’ve been invited to write for you guys, so I thought I’d say ‘HIYA!’ and introduce myself.
My name is Kai, or D Kai Wilson, or Kaiberie, or most commonly, ‘the Wordpress Wonderwoman‘.
I’m a blogging coach, early adopter and love nothing more than helping people find the resources and means to move from any other blogging system to Wordpress.
The reason I recommend Wordpress is simply because its flexible, and has a lot of interesting, and easy to use ‘plugins’. Its widely supported, and has a base of users, like me and you, that have designed themes for just about every occasion and need.
Mainly though, like many other gurus of blogging, I think Wordpress is the best thing since sliced bread because it solved every problem I had with blogging, with less work that it would have taken to fix even a tenth of by hand. Not only that, but its made my life so much simpler, and whether I’m building a blog, or a website, I look at doing it with Wordpress.
Anyway, its great to be here, and if you’ve got ANY questions whatsoever about Wordpress, or blogging in general, then please, feel free to leave a comment, and I’ll see what I can do about answering it.

Kai - I’m in the process of switching from Blogger to WordPress. I’ve been told my blog needs to be a fixed width instead of proportional. How do I change it? Thank you.

Ah…that’s to do with your style sheet - you can change it by setting it up to be an actual number rather than a percentage. Depending on what css setting its using to control the width of your blog (it could be body, content or one of a myriad of other settings) you’ll need to alter that.

I would like to add the MyBlogLog to my sidebar, but I just can’t seem to make it work. Maybe I need an upgraded version of Wordpress???

Hello there
i sure hope u can help am actually in the process of setting up a blog but my biggest stumling block to starting has actually been whatdo i blog about am actually getting some how frustrated cos i just dont have a clue to begein with.
However ill like it if you can help me with materials on getting ideas about what to blog about.
