Brutal Mistakes on Joint Venture Strategies

How do I get marketers to joint venture with me?
How do I get marketers to recognize me?
How do I BUILD a strong relationship with top marketers?

In today’s series, I would like to make it CLEAR that it
is easy to joint venture with any top-notch marketers in
the world.

Additionally, I can tell you at this point that if you
are utilizing these strategies closely, you can EVEN
have these marketers become your close friends as well.
NO EXCEPTIONS!

The key in here…. “Find Out What They Want!”

What do marketers really want?
What do marketers have in common?

“What are The Wishes Marketers Want You to Know,
Yet They do Not Want to Ask?”

I can BRUTALLY tell you that this is the same wish I
have before anybody asks me to Joint Venture with them.
In fact, even though you did NOT ask, I will HELP YOU
anyway. :-)

Today, let’s talk about the “FIVE” weakness that will MAKE
every successful marketer MELT , when you ask them to Joint
Venture with you….

1. Lend Your Expertise. — If you are EXPERT at something,
get recognition by helping out other marketers.

I am NOT talking about teaching them how to make money
online. They know that already. You can help them with
the copywriting, customer support, or perhaps redesigning
   their blogs, and much more.

Look at one of my buddies, Patric Chan. He gained his
fame by helping Dr. Joe Vitale with his customer support.

Look at Gina Gaudio-Graves. She received her fame
by helping marketers with their promotions with her
   expertise.

Look at my closest friend, Socrates Socratous. He became
famous by helping me out with creating a video tutorial
   for 117ChristmasGifts.com.

I promoted them CRAZILY and WHOLEHEARTEDLY because they
helped me sincerely with my venture. They did NOT ask me
for any return, I did it anyway.

2. Respect Other Marketers. — If you do NOT respect
marketers, they will NOT respect you either.

When I was in the seminar, I have one attende ask
me to promote his product because this marketer A and
marketer B are going to promote. “It will be HUGE!”
   he said.

As I heard what he said…

I simply smilied at him and said, “NO”. However, in my
heart I felt insulted. I thought this guy was EXTREMELY
   rude.

He asked me to promote his product, but he did NOT pay
any respect to me. Due to this reason alone, I did not
even bother to review his product.

The key secret in here is… If you want recognition,
learn how to RESPECT others as well.

3. Co-Author With a Marketer You Respect. — While you do
   99% of the work.

If you want recognition, the fastest way to get one
would be to ask reputable marketers to put his name
   on it.

I know it sounds silly. Why should you EVEN put any
marketers name on it for the hard work you have done
yourself. The truth is different. If you want to become
successful slower, you can use your name.

   However…

If you want to be known immediately, it is more than okay
to do all the shady work
. In fact, when you stick your
name with one of the well-known marketers, NEW PEOPLE
or new comers think that you MUST be big as well.

4. Ask Them For Reviews and Suggestions. — When you meet
a marketer in a seminar, DO NOT  ask them to promote you.

Instead… Ask them if they can review your product.
If they do (Most likely they will), make sure that
you find out EXACTLY in detail what they liked and
   they dislike.

As soon as you use their suggestions carefully, come
back to them by asking them for ideas of what you should
   do to promote it.

This will open up options for you from that marketers
the best way to promote your product.

HINT: Many marketers will give you hints, whether they
would promote your products or not. If they don’t, you
can ask them for marketers who might be interested in
   promoting your product.

5. Buy Their Products. — Buy their products. Join their
apprenticeship, internship, or even mastermind group
   programs.

This is fastest key to networking with any top marketer
in the world. In fact, these techniques are being used
heavily for marketers who want to reach the top LEVEL
   in their industry.

   For Example:

Have you seen an auction on eBay that allows you to eat
lunch with Warren Buffett for $400,000?

Though… It is CRAZY when you see how expensive it is.
However, many people were willing to pay the price to
   talk with Warren Buffett. WHY?

   He has all the network.
   He has all the power.
   He has all the knowledge.

By having lunch with him, you can easily get to the top
in a very short period of time. That’s the beauty of this.

You see how easy it is.
You see how powerful this can be.
You see how you can bring yourself to the top?

All of this is coming down to ONE THING…

“It is ALL About the Relationship”

Knowing the relationship is the key, it is time for you
to find little angle on how you can be in service for
certain marketers.

It is NOT about YOU.
It is ALL about them.

Give first without any expectations, you shall receive TEN
TIMES the reward without asking them at all. This is the
true key to your online success. PERIOD.

Today…

I strongly ENCOURAGE you to get:

    Henry,
Thank you for the Frank, Honest and Sincere way that you did what most would not. Your no BS instruction to getting ‘Gurus’ to help is inspiring. Although I think I already knew most of what you spoke about, I’m not sure I would have followed through. Now, I know I am better armed to approach a ‘Guru’ and get his/her assistance. Whatever help that may be is still more than I’ve got at the moment.

    Thanks again.

Thank you for the advice, Henry.

I have found it hard to take the big step and actually do something. I have expertise and have an idea for using it for a simple how-to book which has nothing to do with marketing.

Most in the target market would not know who is and who is not a top marketer. Out of interest, how would a name like Henry Gold add credibility to my product among these people?

    Just curious.

Hmmm My friend did the number 1 and 5. It’s great if you have some expertise, that would be a great weapon to approach a JV.

I made JVs after I am getting to know marketers personally using my yahoo messenger… I also landed a JV after helping a marketer critique his OTO and helped him improving his conversion rate by 300%!

Of course if you can attend a seminar and meet some potential JVs face to face it will be better..Networking is important before we can land some JV deal

    Hi Henry,

Thanks for a great post. I think you’re starting to give away a bit too much “inside” information for free here … to which, we thankyou.

However, by giving this information away, it truly does make me wonder how much other information we’re missing out on by not getting your mastermind package.

This will probably be my next purchase after my 4 week coaching course.

Yes …. one step at a time, so that I can absorb and implement your information instead of “information overload” that I’ve become a victim to in the past.

This is valuable info. I started in business about 13 years ago, and I’ve learned those things the hard way… by practice and mistakes. I am from Romania and I live here, and I love my country, but this doesn’t mean I’m blind or deaf. Good, useful knowlege takes time and often lots of $$$ to gain. So, when and where you get it, grab it! You’ll soon find out it’s HUGE value. That’s what I meant mainly by VALUABLE INFO. You help us save Time; you save Time, you save money. You save money, you are able to make your own experiment. BUT: What ca be more beatufiul than getting free info from someone like you, info that saves both time & money, AND pushes you one step further on your dreams, on your path?
    Thanks a lot!

    Wow! This is good stuff.

    Thank you, Henry!

Buying products from other marketers (or probably your potential JV partners) is a proven strategy to get them to know you. It’s easier to get their attention because they will give more attention to their customers more compared to someone who just asked a favor.

I did this trick a few times to get them to notice me and it worked. :)

    Other methods you shared… awesome!

    Hello Henry,

Great blog! I have two additional ideas you may want to consider:

    1. Offer 100% Commission to JV partner.

We all know the importance of having a list. Some internet gurus have massive lists. Instead of offering them a 75% Clickbank commission that anyone can get why not offer them 100%. Growing your list may well be worth it!

    2. Select only one or two JV partners.

Looking at some other blogs in the last couple of weeks it is becoming obvious to me that many people are getting tired of getting emails from every man and his dog whenever there is a new product launch. It may be a good idea to be selective.

    All the very best,

    Hi Henry,
About joint venturing and any other activity on the internet, the only thing I want to see and learn is a payment way for people in countries that are not included neither in PayPal nor in Clickbank like Egypt and Malaysia.
Their only alternative now is collecting the free giveaways and trying with adsense on free blogs without any tools.

    Hi Henry,

Just checked my email today and noticed that you wanted us to make comments about what we’d like to hear about regarding Joint Venturing.

Well, I remember back last year around Oct you were stating that Joint Venture will no longer be the same again. That people had abused their lists and that with Web 2.0 technology things will never be the same again. …. with an aire for the worse.

Well, what I’d like to find out is how to implement Joint Venture strategies for the future.

What you have given us in this post is JV tactics that seem to work when meeting people in person. Well, what about when your on a ship in the middle of the ocean or in a different state or country? And how we need to take advantage of Web 2.0 tomake it all happen.

A couple of questions here, I’m sure we’d all like to really know what you know.

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Henry,

Wow great information on JV. After reading this one I now have a better understanding about how to get a Jv going as I didn’t before.

What I have read in other places is how hard it is to get a Joint venture and I now have a better understanding why.

I see it is all with very good reason that a Joint venture is hard to put together.

    Dear Henry,

This lately serie of free really valuable tips `n` tricks you had share makes me feel privileged.
Obviously I`m not the only one.

Sure some of “guru”s wonder why you do it and probably some of them bombing you with “warnings” ..

    Points 1, 3 and 4 are commentless.

2 : The provided example is a regular “how to not approach”. Definatelly the “you should do that becouse A and B allready do” sound wrong. Rude. Insulting.
None shouldnt promote something becouse X allready / will do it. One would want to involve becouse of product value. Point.
Still, I`v seen is a practice (I`v seen it in many “proffesional writed” letters, sites ..) to pump up a promotion / sale reffering to “Y (big name somehow) also do it”.
And sound logical (more or less) while is very promoted (wrong ?) lection for online marketing -> TESTIMONIALS. From here comes the psyhology of
“A and B allready do, would you miss this ?”. Huh … sound fammiliar ? :-)

5 : I somehow disagree, for at least 2 reasons.
One is that this won`t work for me. Once 576756256 peoples have buy allredy my product, this will push in pole position any of them. Hmmm …
Somebody who buy it from me is a client becouse of that. I`ll probably try to sell him / her more and not consider it as a potential JV partner becouse of his
money in my account. The fact he / she buy it was determinated by the product value - at least I hope so. :-P
Second is - as Waheed Elqalatawy sayd above - that some good potential online marketers to be delayed or even stoped by very objective reasons. Such as
Paypal country list, Clickbank country list … lack of money (real problem, I tell you, maybe half of countries have NOT the USA credit cards / loans facilities).
I`m awared that this issue can be hard to understand / accept. But is REALITY.

However, your emails are, for me, ones I wait for and read with priority - I`m subscribed to 24 newsletters, but only 3 I really carefully read.
One of this three is Gold.

It is the truth… Any successful marketer
knows this fact. It’s not always what you
know or what you want, it’s more of who
you know and what they want, and giving
without expecting recieve is very important
    among marketers, it builds relationships,
that’s where the best JV’s come together.

Thank you so much for your expertise over the years, not to mention your talent for telling it like it is and letting others take from what you have given them.

I know I have learned a lot from you and plan to learn more! I am right with you in the “respect” area, it’s funny how people just expect you will give them what they want without reciprocating.
