All of the great ones have IT.  We are drawn in to them
like bees to honey by their words everyday.  We’ve got
to have our fill of it.  AND…..

After it’s all done, I don’t know about you but I usually
want more.

Man, that’s what a great blog does to me.  They are works
of art on the screen.

There are 5 things I’ve noticed many high performing blogs
have in common:

1.  Real Topics that Real People give a care about.
     Search engines are important but People are more
     important.  The moment you begin to only focus
     on search engines,  you’ve lost the battle before
     you’ve  even started.

2.  They are Givers and not just Takers.
     Let me put this in the proper context.  It’s important
     to give your readers genuine value for the time they’ve
     spent on your site.  Making money online is paramount
     yet, the thoughts, words and concepts shared on your
     blog should enlighten your visitors in some measurable
     way.

3.  Dialogues within Dialogues take place often.
    When this happens, you know you’ve struck a chord. 
    That’s what I love about Web 2.0.  When I see visitors
     comments  take on a life of themselves.  Be it
     commentators  helping, challenging, disagreeing, etc.
     all among themselves. 
   

4.  Fresh Relevant Content served up daily.
     I really like blogs that make their blogs a priority.
     Whether people comment or not, they obviously have
     a passion or at the very least a strong interest
     in their blog niche and it shows with fresh content.

5.  Blog owner Participation – Ego’s left at the door.
     If a visitor stopped by your home, would you not speak?
     The great blogs have consistent owner comment exchange.
     Be kind - There is no reason for being rude to your guest
     even if they’re rude to you.  Just delete, don’t confront.

I challenge you to really take a good look at your blog.
