There are a few words marketing experts tell you to avoid
at all costs with your ad campaigns. Whether your ad copy
appears in an email, on a web page, on a highway billboard,
or is broadcast over the radio, many professional sales
consultants will tell you to avoid certain “painful” words.

In the world of making money from home, most gurus will
tell you to avoid words and phrases that are associated
with hard work. For example, instead of saying learn (ouch!)
we are told to use the term ‘Discover’ because it sounds
less like work and more like something that comes easily.

But here’s the truth…

Whether you are looking to make money or get more traffic,

(or both since one pretty much leads to the other)

There is one dirty, painful word you need to hear and
understand.

What word am I talking about?

Discipline.

If you’re still reading you have passed my informal marketing
test. What I mean is, most people who say they want to work
from home will click away at the first hint of anything that
sounds like actual work.

But the reality is (oh no there was another painful word -
‘reality’) runnig a business takes discipline and even WORK.

Holy cow are you still here? There is no doubt I’ve already
scared off all the day dreamers and members of the world wide
something-for-nothing club.

But you’re still reading, which means you aren’t scared of a
little work and discipline. That’s great news, because getting
back to the point of this post…

Building more traffic is all about having discipline and
sticking with a solid routine. If you just bounce around
trying this and that technique… forget it!

The ONLY way to get more traffic for your web business is to:

1. Find the techniques that really work.
2. Have the self-discipline to carry out these techniques every
   day!

Traffic generation is a long-term process and you must be willing
to map out a plan and stick with it, or you’ll just end up broke
and disappointed like all those people who wanted something for
nothing.

But here’s the good news:

There’s really nothing painful about a little bit of discipline!

Seriously. It’s actually quite rewarding to execute a plan 
for getting more traffic every day, and to see the rewards
for your actions occur over time.

And believe me it beats lifting boxes. That’s what I did
for many years before I decided to have a little discipline
and work a solid program for getting more traffic for my web
business.

Now the traffic just keeps coming in, whether I’m working or not.

But it didn’t happen overnight. It took discipline.
