What If You Don’t Know The First Thing About Free Traffic?
Every marketer knows it takes a lot of traffic to build a
successful business. But not everyone knows how to get this
kind of MASSIVE traffic.
I’m sure you’ve heard a lot of ‘gurus’ talk about search
engine optimization, and how sites like Google are the best
way to drive free traffic to any website. I found one post
that illustrated the current market share of the major
search engine sites.
As you can see Google, Yahoo, and a few other websites are
still considered by many people to be among the best traffic
sources available.
But it’s not so easy for new marketers to plug their websites
into the top ranks of Google and the other search engines.
In another post I read recently, Tim Whiston goes into great
detail on exactly what it takes to optimize your site for
good search engine rankings. But as you can see from his
article… it can be a lot of work, and it requires a pretty
good understanding of basic website design!
So what to do if you don’t understand all the technical aspects
of web design?
And what if you don’t have all the time it would take to do a
thorough optimization of your site for the search engines?
Can you still get loads of free traffic for your sales pages
and blog posts?
OF COURSE YOU CAN!
Remember my recent post about how to get traffic from technorati
and digg? I went into great detail, and even laid out a five
part plan for how you can HACK into the same kind of HUGE
traffic flow that I create for my own blog using these
free social marketing sites.
In fact it’s much easier to start driving traffic with sites
like Technorati than with search engines like Google. With
the social sites, and the social marketing techniques(3)
I talk about on this blog you can start creating traffic
right away!
Building traffic through the search engines can take a
long time, but here’s something really great:
If you start working my social marketing blueprint right away,
over time these tactics will help with your search engine rankings
too!
How is this so?
With correct Web 2.0 strategies, you will be able to build a lot
of links back to your website, and create the kind of great
content the search engines love. With just a little work you
can easily begin to DOMINATE your niche.
So don’t worry about all the technical aspects of optimizing your
website for the search engines. Just follow my instructions on
proper Web 2.0 tactics and you’ll find the search engine rankings
will come naturally.

Agree, for the new marketer, it’s a little
confusing. I spent a lot of trial and error
with SEO and I got better at it, I started
ranking my sites higher, a lot of offpage
optimization than onpage optimization
is what will get you a better ranking.
I find that google tends to rank quicker
and better than yahoo, so I optimize my
sites for google mainly, and I have created
a lot of traffic just from the SE’s alone.
