I spent a lot of trial and error with SEO and I got better at it, I started ranking my sites higher, a lot of offpage optimization than onpage optimization is what will get you a better ranking. I find that google tends to rank quicker and better than yahoo, so I optimize my sites for google mainly, and I have created a lot of traffic just from the SE's alone.
